Chris Nickey is a singer /songwriter from the the delaware valley area which is located in the South Eastern corner of the great state of Pa. Chris has a long and storied history in the local philly/bucks county club scene stretching way back to the mid 80’s when he and some high school chums formed an after school "garage " band called “Sparetire” (see their fanpage at: www.myspace.com/sparetireband ) That high spirited combo carried on for many years and while they were virtually obscure to most, they did indeed manage to garner a loyal cult following in the blossoming underground scene that was sprouting up around 1990-96. They toured the mid atlantic seaboard opening for such notable acts as dread zeppelin, yellowman , the sauceboss, and the delaware destroyers to name a few . shortly after the new millemmium dawned chris and the boys decided to slow the pace down and eventually the decision was made to hang it up for a while .
